Fay Pedler, MCSP has run a physiotherapy clinic in Mannamead for about 25 years and has now semi-retired. The Practice has gradually grown and in 2007 The Fay Pedler Clinic incorporated Hackworthy and Kay, another long established physiotherapy practice on the same premises. All of the Physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health Professions Council. Fay has a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and a Diploma in Injection Medicine and Leah Mears, the Senior Associate, is also qualified to give steroid injections into peripheral joints. Fay has several Associates at present. Kate Fathers, Nicola Rutherford, Lee Cameron, Stephen Swift and Andrew Rich are the other members of the physiotherapy team, all are qualified and registered with the AACP to provide Acupuncture treatment.

APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE BETWEEN 7.30am and 7.30pm. Sorry, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Treatment is provided in six treatment rooms at 5 Whiteford Road and a contract is held with a GP Practice in Plymouth, for whom we provide physiotherapy treatment on a range of conditions.

Fay Pedler and Leah Mears are qualified to give steroid injections into peripheral joints (not spines) when required, we can arrange for a prescription from the GP.

Referrals are taken from solicitors and insurance companies where personal injury claims are undertaken. Assessment reports are given to these companies. Good relationships have been established with local solicitors to benefit the patients.

We are an independently Accredited practice with proven satisfaction, following patient surveys.

Referrals are also received from local Medical Consultants and a Bladder study has been undertaken by Fay Pedler in conjunction with Mr R Freeman, Consultant Gynaecologist at the Nuffield Hospital, Derriford, Plymouth.

Ergonomic assesments are undertaken and advice given on workstations.

We are a friendly and caring Practice where the majority of new referrals come from 'word of mouth' and recommendations from General Practioners.
