  • Cycling assessments.  If you cycle to work and wonder why your back, neck or knees hurt, it may be because of something simple like altering the distance from your seat to the handle bars or the saddle height. It may not be, but we can have a look at you, take some measurements and tell you why.  If your bike is not fitted to you, you may develop problems over a period of time. There are a variety of  bike assessments available, some are very expensive and may be designed to make you spend, others are designed to help you see what needs to be done and why. We aim to provide a service to make the most of the bike that you have, making adjustments to improve what you have.   The assessment that we offer allows us to explore your joints, muscle balance, posture and biomechanics on and off the bike to refine your pose and maximise your comfort and efficiency!

Physiotherapy for Sports Injuries:

Sports injuries cover a wide variety of injuries and can involve any part of the body, from the neck to the toes.  The thing that sets sports injuries apart is when they happen and who they happen to.  Sports injuries happen when the body is performing at a higher level than our every day life requires.  Injury is more likely when we are moving faster, doing repetitive movements, exercising into fatigue or performing the extreme movements that sport demand.  Unfortunately, injuries under these conditions tend to involve more tissue trauma and require quick treatment to prevent further damage and ensure complete healing.

Cycling assessments.  If your sport is cycling and you wonder why your back, neck or knees are uncomfortable, it may be because of something simple like altering the distance from your seat to the handle bars or the saddle height. It may not be, but we can have a look at you, take some measurements and tell you why.  If your bike is not fitted to you, you may develop problems over a period of time. There are a variety of  bike assessments available, some are very expensive and may be designed to make you spend, others are designed to help you see what needs to be done and why.
