We thought it may be nice to re-introduce some of the familiar faces here at Fay Pedler clinic and welcome the new ones to you also!

Today we catch up with the remaining owner of Fay Pedler Clinic Ricky.

What is your background?

Graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from University of Ulster in 2002 and have been practising physiotherapy ever since. My wife Wendy and I relocated to Plymouth in 2008. Children soon followed and we are now settled and happy in Plymouth. Began working full time at the Fay Pedler Clinic from September 2016 and haven’t looked backed.

What areas have you previously worked in?

I completed core junior physiotherapy rotations in Musculoskeletal outpatients and Neurological rehab (post stroke, brain injury etc). From 2005 I have specialised in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation with an interest in foot and ankle problems.  From 2011 to 2016 I worked directly with the Orthopaedic foot and ankle team for University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust as a specialist physiotherapist however I also love treating all the varying conditions that come through our doors.

What is your role at Fay Pedler clinic?

I am the clinical lead and business owner alongside Alex and Duncan. I am responsible for staff training and continued professional development. Along with being painter, decorator and general dogs body for the clinic.

What are you most proud of?

My Family. I have punched way above my weight by marrying my darling wife Wendy. We have brought up two lovely kids and have got them half way through childhood with only a few cuts and bruises.

What’s the best thing about being part of the Fay Pedler team?

Working in a small close knit team of excellent clinicians and admin staff in a lovely area of Plymouth.

Rugby coach

When I have the right amount of lubrication I am actually a really good dancer!
